Patient Education 1.10 Updates

What:

We have added the ability to send patient education to the patient portal. A new patient education card has been added to the chart section of the patient portal. The patient education card also includes new data that will let the clinical staff know if the patient has accessed the education from the portal. 

Why: 

Patients have the need to access educational materials from their portal so they don’t have to rely on printed materials.  

How 

A new flag has been added to the patient education card “portal access”.  Checking this box will send the education material to the patient portal in the chart section. 

When the patient accesses their patient portal, they will see this patient education received from the clinical staff. 

Clinical staff can track if a patient has viewed educational material sent to the portal on the card in the note and chart.
