The ChartLogic EHR Messaging system is focused on making medical communication as straightforward as possible, allowing for people within your practice to communicate with each other and with patients.
To create a new message, you’ll need to click on the New Message link in the upper left corner of the Mailbox screen. From there, you’ll be taken to a New Message sub-tab where you’ll be shown an array of different options. To select your recipients, just click in the search box and type your search criteria.
To filter those recipients, you’ll need to use the drop-down box to the right of the search box. Once recipients are added, you can remove them by simply clicking the close icon to the right of their name. To select the type of message, you’ll need to click the type drop-down and select your message type.
This type will autofill the subject text box and affect the content below. To adjust the subject, simply type your desired subject into the subject text box. Associating patients and attaching files works the exact same way as adding a recipient. From there, all you need to do is type your message. The body is a WYSIWYG editor fully functional with all the formatting you could want. Once your message is ready to go, simply click Send to send the message.
