Codified Data Visualization

What:

We have added color coding to help guide the users to data points (like codified data) that can be updated within the current note. It also now indicates which real time data elements have been committed to the chart.

• Light Blue= unlocked data from a previous signed note that can be edited
• Dark Blue= indicates data elements created in the current note the user has open
• Light Gray= indicates locked data owned by a note that has not been signed and committed to the patient chart. The note ID will lead the user to the unsigned note for editing.

Why:

This provides a visual indication of elements that can be edited based on that data being signed and committed to the chart. By adding real-time data, we need to provide visual indicators for data that can be edited with a note currently being worked in.

How:

Color Key

• Light Blue= unlocked data from a previous signed note that can be edited

• Light Gray= indicates locked data owned by a note that has not been signed and committed to the patient chart. The note ID will lead the user to the unsigned note for editing.

You can edit a dark blue or light blue entry by clicking and opening the edit box.

The locked items can be edited by accessing the unsigned note using the note ID or completing that specific note making it available to edit in any note.
