While secure messages, prescription refill requests, and appointment request are responded to in the Patient Portal, a record of them is now stored in the patients’ records in the EHR. They can be found in the “Active Care” section, in the “Portal Messages” and “Portal Prescription Requests sections.
All portal communications can be found in the “Portal Messages” section. Prescription refill requests can also be found in their own section to help determine if the patient might be drug seeking.
