EHR Update Summary

Thursday, July 7, 2022, we will be pushing out a new ChartLogic EHR update. The updates will start at 10PM MT and are expected to be completed by 2AM MT on Friday, July 8. During the scheduled update window, you may experience anything from slow response, limited access, or no connectivity; or you may experience no interruption whatsoever.

This version update includes many bug fixes and performance improvements.

Bug Fixes đź”§

  • Voicemail detection has been added to prevent messages from playing early and being cut off.
  • Letterhead no longer breaks when a new provider was added to system.
  • When an exam has a referral reply letter attached to it, you are no longer unable to archive unfinished exams.
  • You can now create two patient ID’s for one patient when there was more than one database using datashare with Rcopia.
  • Rx Button now shows correct counts for notifications.
  • Fixed an issue where some encounters don’t send to patient portal.
  • Lab result updates are no longer overwritten by original Lab order.
  • When clicking on Query HIE, there is no longer an error.
  • Attempting to export some CCDA’s no longer causes an error.
  • Removed unavailable options from selection when faxing via Patient Chart.
  • Printing a large amount of Notes from the patient chart now has a limit to the amount of documents to print and a progress bar has been introduced.
  • Patient Portal and WinPM no longer display different balances.
  • Using the snipping tool no longer causes encounters to crash or not open.
  • When you try to sync active medications to a patient, the active care – medications section now displays all of the active medications.
  • PDF’s are now being stored with compressions to improve performance.
  • You can now look at multiple pages in superbill search results and the page limit has increased.
  • Printing order results no longer throws an error if no template was selected.
  • Querying for patients in patient lists and reminders report could freeze the main menu. We’ve added a loading indicator and disabled the window to close in middle of query to prevent crash.
  • Medication search now filters properly in the patient intervention profile.
  • Adding a large comment in case management no longer causes an error. Increased character limit to account for larger comments.
  • Desktop settings for displaying patient name backwards now respects the setting.
  • Adding text to a document in the documents section now works on first try.
  • Scanning a new document no longer locks the EHR window.
  • After adding a document to a new message, reopening the documents tab no longer throws an error.
  • When registering patients, the Gender Field now resets after clicking save.
  • There was an issue found when trying to attach documents to messages and images in exams. This was resolved with storage location changes.
  • Customers with large databases no longer have the audit log freeze and timeout when opening.

If you experience any issues updating ChartLogic, please follow these steps for a quick resolution:

  1. Close ChartLogic
  2. Go to:
    C:Program Files(x86)ChartLogicChartLogic9EHR
  3. Locate the application named “ChartLogicUpdate”
  4. Run the application
  5. Select Update
  6. Update will run and close down by itself
  7. Re-launch ChartLogic
