General Improvements
Standardized searching within the application to search by last name and then by first name.
Enhanced and standardized the user interface to be more uniform and easier to see at all levels of the application. Significant consideration was given to improve the ease of navigation by using data trees in the collapsing and expanding of the navigation menus. Button hover state settings were improved allowing users to better identify a clickable field.
The installer and updater have been improved, providing even more reliability for future updates and installations.
Voice
Improved and updated voice compatibility with Dragon (12) Medical Practice Edition 2.
Refined voice control to function more reliably within main workflow areas such as messages, addendums, date of service, etc.
When deleting a patient, user security has been added to allow better management of patient data.
Improved voice search capabilities in the Superbill and SmartText sections. Dragon will no longer add space at the end of the dictated segments to allow better results when searching.
The Superbill voice command has been improved to respond when the Superbill button is off screen.
Optimized the response time of Dragon software when switching between voice and non-voice users.
Document Management
Document type now shows in the “search results” section of the document manager search screen.
User can now open multiple documents for the same patient and not lose focus on the current selected document when the other loads.
Encounters/ Exam Tools
Improved patient education margins settings when printing.
Updated the patient chart screen to show Superbill notes immediately after notes have been updated in the Superbill.
Enhanced the Date of Service smartfield to work in the requisition for order consistency.
The performance of Spell checker has been enhanced allowing users to update the dictionary, and to more efficiently retain the words that have been added.
A new provider setting was created to fax a default referral letter to all referring physicians. When using this setting, letters and notes will be faxed simply by clicking OK on the referral reply letter.
The prescription history smartfield has been updated to only show prescriptions that have been ordered by physicians using the e-prescribe system. This field will ignore current medications added under the medication history in the e-prescribing module.
Search speed within Superbill has been improved, allowing faster responses and more efficient completion of the Superbill during an encounter.
Improved the ability to scroll freely through the Quick Diagnosis exam screen after a diagnosis has been highlighted.
Upgraded certain workflows to ensure that exams will only get archived when the exam is intentionally deleted.
Orders
Added the capability to delete all orders that have not been finalized or received electronic results.
Added the ability to assign an order directly to a staff member right from the order entry screen.
Printing requisitions has been improved to be more consistent after you finalize a requisition template.
Patient History
Added the capability to see the last sent date in our legacy medication menus.
Fax Service
The fax service has been updated to work more effectively, allowing users to update a fax number in Chartlogic which will be then resent to the correct number.
Added stability to referral letters and encounters when being faxed.
User Options
Improved the user security for the address book allowing practice admins to manage who can add, edit, and delete address book entries.
Reports
Superbill Report was changed to sort primarily by the physician’s last name, and then by the physician’s first name.
Flowsheets
Date columns have been formatted to be MM/DD/YYYY as a standard.
Smartfields have been improved to be more reliable within the encounters and other templates.
The width of flowsheet columns will be automatically adjusted if data is entered into the Flowsheet when the smartfield is already present with no data in the encounter.
Users are now able to insert a multi-line flowsheet smartfield inside a message on demand.
Flowsheet data is now pulling into templates more efficiently based on creation date.
We are adding a Patient Reminders flowsheet for meaningful use tracking for all our clients if they currently do not have this in their system.
Flowsheets are now sorting with the most recent entry at the top of the flowsheet view screen and within the flowsheet smartfields.
If a flowsheet is used within the encounter and the encounter is faxed, a fax banner is now being applied to the encounter.
Referrals
Referral Smartfields have been enhanced to pull in all available information with more accuracy and efficiency.
Vaccinations/Immunizations
Added the ability to transmit and receive vaccination between ChartLogic and local state registries.
