EHR Update Summary

Thursday, June 25th, 2020, we will be pushing out a new ChartLogic EHR update. The updates will start at 10PM MST and are expected to be completed by 2AM MST on Friday, June 26th. During the scheduled update window, you may experience anything from slow response, limited access, or no connectivity; or you may experience no interruption whatsoever.

This version update includes performance improvements to ePrescribe and reduced “out of memory” errors. See below for the full release notes.

Enhancements 🚀

• Moved the ePrescribe feature into its own window to reduce the amount of initial load time.
• Made back-end improvements to ePrescribe to reduce the load time.
• The Rx notification button is now provider specific.
• Added a new configuration option to require a CPT code and an ICD-10 code in order to save and finish a note. Learn more →
• Reduced the amount of memory used within the ePrescribe workflow to reduce “out of memory” errors.
• Made code improvements to reduce the amount of memory used when searching a patient, opening an encounter, and opening a SuperBill to reduce the out of memory errors.
• Updated billing codes.

Bug Fixes 🔧

• ICD-9 code searchers will no longer return any results, but historical ICD-9 lists will still be intact.
• Fixed an issue that caused save and finish to function slowly when a charge interface was enabled.
• Identified and fixed an issue that caused notes and messages to save slowly.
• Fixed an error where the message pop-up wasn’t functioning correctly
• Fixed an error where all medications were showing up in the patient portal. This now only shows active medications.
• Fixed an error causing email appointment reminders to not be sent.

If you experience any issues updating ChartLogic, please follow these steps for a quick resolution:

1. Close ChartLogic
2. Go to:
   C:Program Files(x86)ChartLogicChartLogic9EHR
3. Locate the application named “ChartLogicUpdate”
4. Run the application
5. Select Update
6. Update will run and close down by itself
7. Re-launch ChartLogic
