The EDI Receivers table is used to store the usernames and passwords for associated EDI receivers currently used for claims and Webly patient reminders. This table is typically created and maintained by the MBS Help Desk as enrollment is finalized. This table allows for automated ‘hands-free’ connections to check eligibility, send claims, and retrieve reports, remittances and custom connections to transfer data.

  1. ID: Created by MBS to link to the third-party association.
  2. Name: The name of the EDI Receiver.
  3. Submitter ID/Receiver ID/Site ID: Appropriate ID codes assigned by the EDI receiver company.
  4. Username/Password: Practice’s login information relative to, and assigned by, the EDI receiver.
  5. DUN/TID: Dial-Up Networking (Medicare) or Transaction ID (Relay Health), if applicable.
  6. URL: The web address for the EDI Receiver, if applicable.
  7. Contact Name: Designate a person at your practice as the contact person.
  8. Contact Phone: Your office phone number.
  9. Testing: Check if EDI Receiver requires testing for first submission (removed after testing is completed).
  10. Note: note of up to 60 characters, if applicable.
  11. X12 Version: Displays the current version of EDI programming used to communicate transactions.
  12. Save.
