Prescription Report

The Prescription Report feature allows users to manage all pending prescriptions. Prescriptions can be written by staff members who do not have the authority to sign and send them to the pharmacy; those prescriptions are sent to the physician’s pending prescription list.

To display Prescription Report:
  1. In ePrescribe, click on Rx Report (in the blue toolbar at the top of the screen).
  2. Select the provider from the Provider drop-down menu.
  3. Fill in information for Patient, Status, Drug Type, and Maximum prescriptions displayed as needed.

Note: If Complete status is selected, user will be prompted to enter date range information.

  1. Click Display Report. Report will appear at the bottom of the screen. Provider can choose to perform actions from the options described below.
Options:
  • Send and Print: Sends prescription(s) to pharmacy and prints the scripts to local printer.
  • Send: Sends prescription(s) to the pharmacy.
  • Print w/o Sending: Sends script(s) to printer but does not send prescription to the pharmacy.
  • Sign w/o Sending: Adds medication(s) to patient’s active medication list but does not send medication(s) to pharmacy. This option is often used when giving samples.

Note: All options require a valid signature password.

Notes: In the Date, Status column, heed the following warnings:

  • A red warning indicates a drug and/or allergy interaction. A blue warning indicates a formulary discrepancy.
