Ideally, the workflow for scheduling an Appointment as requested by or for a Patient would flow as follows:
To view a Patient record in Scheduling, click the Patients button on the toolbar and use the Find field to search for and select the desired Patient.
The Patient record will appear, as shown below.
From the Patient record you can add or edit Patient data, schedule an Appointment using the Next Available function, or print an Address Label.
If the Patient does not exist in the system – or if they exist as a Person (no Patient ID), follow the steps in the Patient Registration section to add the Patient to the system.
