Resource Sets

Resource Sets come in handy when a patient does not have a preference as to which doctor he or she sees. A resource set such as “All Doctors” will allow you to search for the next available appointment for any doctor included in the Resource Set, as opposed to searching one doctor at a time. It is also useful in multi-specialty practices, where you can have Resource Sets such as “All Pediatricians,” “All OB/GYN,” etc.

The following is an example of a Resource Set called “All Doctors:”

• Resource Set ID: Easily understood abbreviation of the Resource Set name.
• Description: Descriptive name for the Resource Set.
• Available Resources: Offers a selection of all the resources for the practice.
• Joined Resources: List of the resources you select from the Available Resources list to be part of the Resource Set, in this case, just the physicians (double-clicking on a resource moves it from Available Resources to Joined Resources).
