PM Installation Guide

Pre-Installation

1. ChartLogic recommends turning off User Account Control if using Windows 7, and on Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 to set User Account Control to Never Notify.
2. ChartLogic recommends disabling Windows Firewalls.
3. ChartLogic recommends that you run Windows Update, and install all important updates, as well as having systems set to update automatically.

Creating PM Icon on Desktop

1. Go to http://helpchartlogic.wpengine.com/pm/login
2. Click the Favorites icon.

3. Click Add to Favorites.

4. Name the page to your liking.

5. Click Add.
6. Click the Favorites Icon again, as shown in step 1.
7. Right Click the PM login link and click Copy.
8. Go to your desktop. In any blank space, Right click, and click Paste.

9. The Icon should appear on your desktop.

Configuring Internet Options.

This ensures the offices security settings are enabled so ChartLogic® Practice Management software can be installed at the workstation and Test Active X controls installation level.

1. Click the Cogwheel at the top of Internet Explorer, and select Internet Options.

2. Select the Security tab.

3. Click Internet.

4. Change Security Level to Medium, or the lowest setting available.
5. Click Trusted Sites.

6. Click the Sites button.

7. Under Add this website to the zone, type *.advancedmd.com and click Add.
8. Under Add this website to the zone, type *.chartlogic.com and click Add.
9. Under Add this website to the zone, type https://*.advancedmd.com and click Add.
10. Under Add this website to the zone, type http://*.advancedmd.com and click Add.
11. Click Close.
12. Change Security level to Low, or the lowest available setting.
13. Click Apply.
14. Go to the Privacy tab.

15. Uncheck Turn on Pop-up Blocker, if Checked.
16. Click Apply.
17. Click OK.

Installing Active X Controls

The Practice management requires you install Active X controls to function properly.

1. Go to http://helpchartlogic.wpengine.com/pm/login.
2. Login using your User name, Password, and Office key.
3. Click Log in.

4. It will prompt you to install the Controls. Click Install Controls.

5. If the Controls installed properly, the Active X install indicator page will just disappear and you will see the Dashboard of the ChartLogic PM.
